Cohort 26
Ada Core is a cohort-based program teaching full-stack web development. Learn how to code, advocate for yourself in the industry, and cultivate your community in tech.
General Eligibility & Requirements
You must be an adult (21 years of age or more), living in the United States for the full duration of the program, and have permanent work authorization at the time that you apply and throughout the full duration of the program. DACA recipients are eligible to apply to the program.
We require that students complete a background check as part of enrolling in the program as part of the internship assignment process.
The classroom portion is virtual, and we require that students have an Apple computer or MacBook (check the FAQ for the required specifications) and a reliable workspace with internet access. A limited number of laptops are available to borrow during the classroom portion if obtaining one would be a barrier to your participation.
Application & Admissions Process
On this application, you will be asked to submit…
Contact information, including optional demographic information
A current resume (CV)
Written responses to 3 questions (about ~300 words each)
Desired internship modality (remote or in-person) and internship locations
Admissions Timeline
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received. Applicants will be moved through the Admissions process throughout the open window. Our goal for the cohort is to admit up to 40 students; final admittance numbers will be confirmed in July based on the number of internship seats secured.
Please note that we do not anticipate any Remote internships. Currently (as of 5/26), we have confirmed internships in Seattle, WA and Nashville, TN.
Additional Information
NEW: Ada Core Tracks
Beginning with Cohort 25, students will now have the opportunity to design their Ada Core experience. We offer two tracks for Ada Core.
Track A
5 months of classroom experience
Program participation ends after classroom experience; internship assignment not required
Eligible for future internship windows upon successful completion of curriculum
Enrollment limit: Up to 15 seats
Track B
5 months of classroom experience
Enrolled in the next available internship window (Q1 2027) upon successful completion of curriculum
Program participation ends after that 5-6 month internship assignment
Enrollment limit: Up to 30 seats, contingent upon the number of internship seats available
We strive to secure sufficient internship interviews based on the number of students who select Track B at enrollment. As a result, we are unable to transfer students from Track A to Track B after enrollment.
<Track A and Track B> Classroom Experience (8/31/2026 - 2/12/2027)
The classroom experience will be virtual and feature both self-guided portions and direct instruction. We anticipate approximately 40-60 hours a week to be required between class time, optional elements like office hours, and self-guided independent/group work. Applicants can review the Student Handbook to learn about the attendance, grading, and other classroom policies.
<Track B Only> Q1 Internship Window (2/22/2027 - 7/23/2027)
The Ada internship assignment is 5-6 months long, depending on the Corporate Partner.
Interview Week will begin 1/11/2027. The internship interview process typically takes 2-4 weeks to complete, at which point assignments will be made such that as many Adies receive internships as possible.
You will be assigned a location for your internship placement at enrollment. You must be in the assigned location before the beginning of internship in February 2027.
Ada interns receive a stipend to offset living expenses during the months of Internship of at least $3,080 per month ($15,400 total, pre-tax).
