Cohort 23
Ada Core is an 11-month program teaching full-stack web development. Learn how to code, advocate for yourself in the industry, and cultivate your community in tech.
Please read the following overview carefully for more information about Cohort 23 (C23).
The application window will open on 10/28/2024. Our priority deadline is 11/11/2024. Applications received after this deadline may not be reviewed due to capacity.
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received. Applicants will be moved through the Admissions process throughout the open window. Our goal for the cohort is to admit up to 50 students; final admittance numbers will be confirmed at the end of December based on the number of internship seats secured.
Please note that we anticipate very, very few Remote internships. Currently (as of 11/20), we have confirmed internships in Seattle, WA and Nashville, TN. We will provide a final update on the number of internships available and their locations in December.
Application Process
Applicants will be asked to submit…
Contact information, including optional demographic information
A current resume (CV)
Written responses to 3 questions (about ~300 words each)
Desired internship modality (remote or in-person) and internship locations
After review, according to the forecast of internship seats, qualified and completed applications will advance to the Technical Assessment stage.
Upon successful completion of that Technical Challenge, applicants will be invited to a Final Interview where they will meet with Ada staff to review their Technical Challenge and respond to behavioral interview questions. Applicants who do not complete their Technical Challenges or do not meet our technical bar will not move forward with the Final Interview.
We plan to send out final admissions decisions during the week of 1/6/2025. Please note that Ada Developers Academy will be closed 12/24/24 - 1/1/25 for the holiday break.

Classroom Experience (3/3/2025 - 1/28/2026)
The classroom portion will be virtual and feature both self-guided portions and direct instruction. We anticipate approximately 40-60 hours to be required between class time, optional elements like office hours, and self-guided independent/group work. Applicants can review the Student Handbook here to learn about the attendance, grading, and other classroom policies.
Interview Week (7/14/2025 - 7/18/2025)
Students must attend and pass Interview Week to receive an internship assignment. Please do not schedule any travel or appointments during this week.
Internship Experience (8/25/2025 - 1/28/2026)
Your program participation while at your internship is 40 hours per week. This 40-hour week is dedicated to:
35 hours of internship, and
5 hours for continued education outside of internship, to self-study on CS Fundamentals, technical interview prep, or job search prep.
You will work with your internship manager to agree on a weekly schedule of 35 hours and to choose the 5 hours weekly reserved for your self-study. Ada recommends that companies provide interns 5 days of personal/sick time for the duration of internship. Exact time off schedules are coordinated between the company/manager and the intern.
While in internship, Adies receive a stipend to offset living expenses during the 5 months of Internship ($15,400 total, pre-tax, issued monthly).
